Lightened Up Coleslaw

Lose the fat and keep all the flavor with this madeover coleslaw recipe. Replacing mayonnaise with an oil and vinegar based dressing helps to cut major calories and saturated fat.

Yields 4-6 Servings



  • 2 8-oz packages coleslaw mix
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey, agave syrup or sugar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Combine the coleslaw mix and spring onions in a large bowl.

In a smaller bowl, whisk the honey, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper until well combined. Pour over the coleslaw mixture and toss to coat.
