Q:
I have a 2 and a half year old daughter who never seems to stop drinking and recently has started to wet herself even though she has previously been dry for a year. She eats a lot, but this is nothing new, but I wouldn’t say she lacks energy at all. The most concerning thing is that she passed out last night, a friend said I should take her to the doctors to get her checked out for Diabetes, do you think I have cause for concern, or am I just another over anxious parent?

A:
Hopefully by now you have taken your daughter to be checked, just by the fact that she passed out. This would be cause enough for concern. It is difficult to say what her condition(s) may be, but these are some symptoms of diabetes. Perhaps you can write us back to let us know the report of your physician; this would be helpful for other concerned parents.
