Is it possible for someone to be misdiagnosed with type2 Diabetes?

A:
I will give you a qualified "Yes" here. There are other conditions that may raise your blood sugars for a time, but then resolve when conditions are corrected: insulinomas and courses of Prednisone are two examples where this may occur. What is more common is to say that you may have the genetics for Type 2 Diabetes, and that with proper management, you can stay within normal blood sugar ranges and lead a healthy life.
