Q:
I am a diabetic, and was wondering, if a diabetic takes their meds, and eats right, can there still be complications? Can people who are diabetic die from diabetes even if they are doing all they can?

A:
As with anything else in life, there are no guarantees connected with what we do. However, by sincerely doing everything within our power to stay healthy, our chances are certainly increased. Much often depends on at what point in the disease process we start to take charge. If complications have already set in, we can at least minimize their impact, improving the quality of everyday living.
