Q:
My friend's mother is 84 and traveling from Florida to California by jet. Are there precautions to follow regarding Diabetic complications.

A:
First, inform the flight attendants that she has diabetes and that she requires medication. Let them know if there are other precautions/assistance you feel she'll need. Since there is a time change of 3 hours, she should, if only going for a short term, stay on her east coast time-frame for medications. Her physician should also give you any perceived precautions for flying.
