I would like to know what is the relation between the amount of grams of carbohydrate that we take and the blood glucose level? Can it be quantified (i.e. 10 grams of carbo = 90 mg)? If yes, is there a chart or diagram that can be used to better prepare our diet?
Generally, we think of one unit of insulin as the target for 15 grams of carbohydrates, and having the "power" to lower the blood sugar by 50 points. I'm assuming you're not on insulin. I will assume you are tracking your blood sugars. If you are higher than desired, scrutinize your intake, zeroing in on the type and amounts of carbohydrates particularly. Get assistance with an eating plan if needed.
