Q:
I took a wellness physical not too long ago, and my sugar came in at 127. I am 42 and exercise regularly. I'm going back in for a retest. Will increasing my cardio workout help the situation or make it worse. I weight lift twice a week and cardio also twice a week.

A:
Exercise for non-insulin dependent individuals is always a positive. Increasing lean tissue will only help to lower glucose. Of course, your food intake must also "match". If you are not already clear about what foods affect blood sugars and how to control them, then that would be your next area to tighten up. Our Archives section has nutrition guidelines you will find helpful in getting started and staying on the right track.
