Why is it, I can eat the exact same thing at the same time I did yesterday, and my sugar level is higher today?

A:
It's about your total daily consumption, not just about one item of food. If you were eating the same exact thing at the same exact time everyday for a long period of time and you were still having a variation in your readings, then we would look at other things that may be going on. In addition, there are other factors that may play alter blood sugar levels such as exercise, stress, and medications. Seek professional guidance with your lifestyle habits to make sure you are on the right track.
