Q:
I am 38 years old and my blood glucose level was just tested at 94. The doctor said a normal range was 65-99. Does 94 seem too high at the high end of the range?

A:
Yes, it is at the high end of the range. This reading could be a red flag for you, depending on your lifestyle habits and any other clinical conditions. This would be a good time to honestly review your eating/exercise habits. In my own practice, I always ask for a set of labs to see what other values may be moving towards the out-of-range area. With early intervention, most "budding" conditions can be nipped.
