Q:
What are some examples of plant proteins?

A:
Legumes contain the the best source of plant proteins, while also providing a source of carbohydrates, fiber, and micronutrients involved in maintaining healthy bodily functions. Legumes are dried beans: soy, pinto, navy, garbanzo, black, kidney and lentils. Peas are not included among these; they are considered a starch among the vegetables. Incorporating legumes into your dietary intake can often assist with blood sugar stabilizing, as well as curbing "carbohydrate cravings".
