Fundraising Honor Roll

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

This October I plan on running in the Marine Corps Marathon. I have also taken on the added challenge of raising money for vital diabetes research. Please support me in my efforts to run 26.2 miles for a cause that means so much to me.

Diabetes is one of the most common and serious chronic diseases in the United States. The incidence of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes is rapidly increasing. 26 million Americans have diabetes, and 1 million more are diagnosed every year. This includes 15,000 children who are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes each year. As you are probably aware, finding a cure for diabetes lies close to my heart.

Since starting this challenge, I have discovered serveral colleagues/friends with family members that are battling and/or have passed away from diabetes. I admit that at first this challenge was started with my aunt in mind but the motive for this cause extends to colleagues/friends  and the family members of colleagues/friends.

You can support my efforts by donating on my personal fundraising page - just click on the link at the bottom of this message. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund vital research to prevent, heal, and cure type 1 and type 2 diabetes.

Whatever you can give will help - it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my training and fundraising progress. Please forward this email to anyone you know that would be interested in supporting my fight against diabetes.

All of the money I raise for the Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation will fund research to prevent, treat, and cure diabetes. Every dollar counts so please donate what you can. Together, we can make a difference.

Thanks in advance for your support and encouragement!

Respectfully and in His service,
